Confirm site receiving with Fabbim

Scan arriving assemblies, compare them with the truck load and record what is actually available on site.

Why confirm receiving?

A delivery announcement does not confirm that every expected assembly is available. Receiving connects transport to site work by recording the objects that have actually arrived.

Receiving procedure

  1. Open the receiving or scanning interface for the relevant delivery.
  2. Scan the assembly label.
  3. Check the object and its main information.
  4. Confirm the receiving action in the workflow.
  5. Repeat for the other delivered objects.

Scan at arrival

The QR code links the physical object to its project record. Check the mark after scanning and confirm the relevant receiving action while the assembly is being handled.

Identify delivery discrepancies

Compare the recorded truck load with the objects received. Missing assemblies, partial deliveries or unexpected items should be clarified with logistics so the site can adjust its plans.

Prepare the next site operation

Use confirmed receiving information to identify assemblies available for storage or erection. This helps the site team plan its work around available objects and recognize what is still missing.

Connect receiving to the workflow

Receiving follows loading and transport. Once confirmed, the object can continue through the site stages defined for the project, such as storage or preparation for erection.

Keep a receiving record

Recorded receiving actions contribute to the object’s history. Consult the sequence when checking an arrival, explaining a delay or reviewing a logistical handover.

Good practice

Keep labels visible, scan near the time of arrival, compare the results with the expected load and share discrepancies with the teams concerned.

Common mistakes

Avoid treating the arrival of a truck as confirmation that every object was received. Delayed entries and receiving actions kept outside the project workflow leave the site with an incomplete view.

Give teams a common view

Confirmed receiving helps the site see what is available, logistics check the delivery and the workshop understand which items reached their destination.

Make arrival information actionable

A useful receiving process records the objects delivered and links them to the next site operation. Use the same identification and workflow logic from truck loading to arrival.

Frequently asked questions

Why receive objects if the truck is already tracked?

The truck record describes the transport; object receiving confirms what actually arrived and can reveal discrepancies.

How is receiving confirmed?

Identify the assembly through its QR code, check its information and record the receiving action in the relevant workflow.

Does receiving help with erection planning?

Yes. It gives the site team a clearer view of the assemblies available and those still expected.
